Founder of RISE Anxiety & Depression Clinic

Robert Wise is a Certified Life Coach and Founder of RISE Anxiety & Depression Clinic. He has effectively employed a blend of education, work experience, and an insatiable passion for success to help people achieve their goals. He is also a Mental Health instructor at McGill University.

Maryam A.

Licensed Psychologist

Maryam is a Licensed Psychologist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Maryam views psychotherapy as a collaborative and dynamic journey that helps people realize unleashed capacities, heal wounds and develop better relationships. During the process of psychotherapy, we deeply explore unresolved issues, unwitting interferences, or repressed trauma. She strives for a therapeutic environment wherein you experience being supported, understood, and encouraged. Maryam’s expertise is in depression, anxiety, interpersonal issues, childhood trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, complex grief, loss, and bereavement.

Licensed Psychotherapist

Lilli is our Clinical Director. Lilli is a Licensed Psychotherapist who has over 30 years experience with mental health. She is devoted to helping clients overcome anxiety, anger, depression, toxic relationships, marital conflict, and trauma. She speaks French, English and German.

A former Police Officer and registered Social Worker. She has over 17 years of experience in frontline intervention in the following fields: legal/law, child protection (D.Y.P.), mental health, personality disorders, addictions, conjugal violence, interpersonal relationship counselling, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and youth work.

Nancy W.

Certified Addiction and Trauma Specialist

Nancy is a full member of the Ordre des Criminologues du Quebec and a bilingual Certified Addiction and Trauma Specialist with over 25 years of experience working directly with people. She assists people in addressing issues related to addictions, trauma and mental health. Nancy’s expertise is in working with individuals and those closest to them suffering from addiction as well as counselling for anxiety, depression, relational, emotional and behavioural problems, self-esteem problems and stress management. Nancy uses a client-centred holistic approach, incorporating elements of different types of therapy such as CBT, DBT, Structured Relapse Prevention and Mindfulness, along with other modalities, in order to create a treatment plan that addresses particular needs and helps her clients to achieve their goals. Nancy also has experience in developing programs and treatment plans for individuals and groups. She has delivered many presentations on addiction and mental health.

Stephanie is an empathetic and passionate counsellor who has experience in the field of mental health regarding anxiety, stress and interpersonal counselling. She has worked alongside adults, children, and youth with a focus on intervention planning, positive reinforcement and goal oriented approaches. Stephanie’s clients can rely on her to be consistent, compassionate and present during their mental health journey. She is under the supervision of our Clinical Director.

Sirah is a dedicated and compassionate social worker with experience in supporting and assisting children, families, and individuals facing mental health challenges. She is a Licensed Social Worker with a genuine passion for improving the lives of others. In her work with children, she has comprehensively understood child development and the challenges young individuals may encounter. She assisted children facing trauma, abuse, behavioral difficulties, and emotional struggle by providing them with a safe environment. When working with families, she recognizes the need for a supportive environment to address issues such as parenting difficulties, domestic violence, substance abuse, and financial difficulties. Sirah has experience working with clients facing depression, anxiety, and personality disorders by providing counseling and support.

Denisha strongly believes that taking care of our mental health should be a priority for everyone. She is passionate about mental health care for all. Denisha has a Masters degree in Social Work from McGill University. She is well-versed working with children, youth, and young adults. She has experience and knowledge regarding anxiety and depression, and how this can affect a person in their day to day life. Additionally, Denisha has expertise and specializes in working with 2SLGBTQIA+ identified people, and do so with understanding and empathy.

Melissa is a licensed social worker who uses a person-centered, strength-based and biopsychosocial approach. She has worked with a range of clients from youth to adults in clinical and non-profit settings. She possess knowledge and expertise working with anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance and self-esteem. Natasha has experience working with children, youth, and adults. Viewing your concerns from a trauma-informed lens, Natasha will incorporate elements from different approaches such as play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical therapy. Alex is a graduate of a Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology at the University of Ottawa. He is a registered member of the Order of Counsellors of Quebec (OCCOQ). Alex’s clinical experience includes working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal issues and motivation. He takes a collaborative and empathetic approach in order to make you feel safe and supported while working towards your goals. Drawing from many evidence-based practices, such as cognitive behavioural, emotion focused, trauma informed and dialectical behavioural theories, he tailors his approach to help you as efficiently and quickly as possible. You can expect to work in an environment that fosters self-exploration, acceptance, growth, change (and a bit of humour). He is fluently bilingual in English and French.

Danica is a Registered Nurse Psychotherapist who takes a holistic approach to counselling to include both mind and body with influence from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She has experience counselling adolescents with focus on anxiety and depression, counselling in a women’s health clinic including advocacy for women’s rights as well as experience in acute psychiatry. Her focus is on creating increased feelings of self-empowerment, self-confidence and self-acceptance while exploring how your thoughts, experience and emotions influence your day to day, and how that can be explored to achieve your personal goals.
